Ethiopian Airlines Group, one of the fastest-growing global airline brands and Africa’s largest airline, would like to announce that it will launch a thrice weekly service between Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Maun, Botswana as of June 10, 2024. Maun will be Ethiopian's second destination in Botswana after Gaborone, which has been served since 2016.

Ethiopian Airlines Group, the largest aviation group in Africa, and Boeing [NYSE: BA], a leading global aerospace company are pleased to announce the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the purchase of the latest Boeing 777-9 airplanes. The agreement includes the purchase of eight 777-9 passenger airplanes and the potential for up to 12 additional jets by Africa’s largest airline, Ethiopian.

The Ethiopian e-commerce facility is located inside the Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics premises. 

The newly built facility, which is dedicated to e-commerce, mail and courier logistics services is aimed at bridging logistical gaps and positioning Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as the cross-border e-commerce logistics hub for Africa and beyond.

Ethiopian Airlines ET106/18 January which departed Addis Ababa at 12:30 Local time had a runway excursion after landing at Mekelle Alula Aba Nega International Airport at 14:10 Local time. All passengers and crew were disembarked safely with no injuries.
