Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mesfin Tassew and Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Lemma Yadecha accompanied the crew on a flight to Cairo, marking the airline's inaugural international service. Their involvement extended beyond in-flight duties, as they also provided assistance to passengers during check-in and boarding processes, ensuring a seamless travel experience.

Ethiopian Airlines ET106/18 January which departed Addis Ababa at 12:30 Local time had a runway excursion after landing at Mekelle Alula Aba Nega International Airport at 14:10 Local time. All passengers and crew were disembarked safely with no injuries.

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest carrier, today announce a landmark USD $450 million loan agreement that will finance five new Boeing aircraft: three Boeing 737-8 and two Boeing 777F (Cargo).

The loan will be secured against the value of the five planes and has been arranged exclusively by Citi’s Corporate Banking and Export Agency and Finance teams. It is guaranteed by the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM).

Ethiopian Aviation University, the largest aviation center of excellence in Africa, graduates 627 aviation professionals in a ceremony held at the newly upgraded Ethiopian Aviation University. The graduates were trainees in the University’s Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Cabin Crew & Catering, and Commercial & Ground Services programs.

In today’s graduation: 88 pilots, 125 aircraft technicians, 150 cabin crews, and 264 commercial trainees begin the aviation career path.
