Self-Service Airline Check-in KIOSKS Start at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport - 24 May, 2012

Ethiopian Airports Enterprise and Ethiopian Airlines introduced common use self-service check-in KIOSKS at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport on May 22, 2012. This new service will greatly simplify the check-in process for passengers and ease congestion at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport during peak hours.

The self-service KIOSKS allow passengers to self check-in and print boarding passes, which allows them more personal control as they can see the aircraft layout and choose their own seat from those available.

The move is part of the efforts of all aviation stakeholders at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport namely; Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopian Airport Enterprise, Addis Ababa Airport Customs, Addis Ababa Airport Security and Addis Ababa Airport Immigration to provide an enhanced travel experience to customers and to strengthen Addis Ababa as a leading hub in Africa.

Ethiopian Airlines which has introduced on-line passenger web check-in services as of October 2011, also plans to expand KIOSK services at its destinations worldwide to improve the traveling experience of its esteemed customers.
