Ethiopian Hires 21 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians - 14 January, 2010

The Ethiopian Aviation Academy graduated 21 aircraft maintenance technicians after 2 years of rigorous training in Airframe, Power plant and Avionics on January 14, 2010. Mr. Tewolde G. Mariam, Chief Operating Officer of the airline awarded diplomas to the graduates at the graduation ceremony held at Ethiopian headquarters. The graduates will soon join Ethiopian workforce.

The graduates have gone through rigorous theoretical and practical training in order to qualify as full fledged aviation technicians during their stay at the training center. After handing the diplomas, Mr. Tewolde said, "The success Ethiopian Airlines is unquestionably attributed to the dedication and commitment of its staff. For this very reason, Ethiopian is meticulously engaged in the process and implementation of recruiting, hiring, training and development of its employees."

The Ethiopian Aviation Academy is committed to provide a supply of adequate and competent manpower for Ethiopian Airlines in particular and the aviation industry for the region in general. In addition, the academy runs concurrent training and development programs covering pilots, cabin crew, technicians and conduits comprehensive courses in marketing and leadership management.
