Ethiopian and Brussels Set to Launch Codeshare Agreement - 12 June, 2008
Ethiopian Airlines, one of the leading African airlines, has entered into a code share agreement with Brussels Airlines giving travellers better connectivity and a broad range of services between Europe and Africa.
The new code share agreement, which takes effect as of June 17, 2008, shall further strengthen Ethiopian’s flight network between Addis Ababa and Brussels. Ethiopian operates daily flights to Brussels with Boeing 767-300.
In addition to improving passenger convenience, the code share agreement will facilitate the operational and handling services offered respectively by the two partners. Likewise, the partners shall enjoy greater access to each others markets with relative ease and flexibility.
Ethiopian Vice President Commercial, Ato Busera Awel said, “This code-share agreement with Brussels Airlines will provide wider choices of destinations to Ethiopian Airlines’ travelers. We are indeed pleased to partner with Brussels Airlines to further develop the regional business and leisure markets.”
