Ethiopian Airlines Brings Google “Seat View” To Africa’s First Airbus A350-900 XWB- September 29, 2016

Ethiopian Airlines customers can now take a look inside the Cloud 9 Business Class and Economy cabins of their A350-900 XWB through a Google “Seat View” tour of their newest aircraft.

Africa’s largest and most profitable carrier is giving its prospective customers a chance to peek inside their newest aircrafts on Google! Ethiopian Airline’s Google Street View tour of the A350-900 XWB will allow passengers travelling between London Heathrow and Addis Ababa to take a closer look at the seat of their choice before their trip.

This feature will be especially helpful to passengers thinking about bidding for an upgrade to Cloud 9 Business Class through Ethiopian’s PlusGrade program. Although the close-up views of A350’s industry-leading BCE Diamond seats would be enough to justify the Cloud 9 upgrade, Ethiopian Airlines further enhanced their virtual tour by integrating pop-up panels to highlight special cabin features. These panels are present throughout the aircraft and contain helpful information such seat specifications, IFE offerings, and Cloud 9 food and beverage menus. Moreover, customers can then book flights, manage existing reservations or log into their ShebaMiles account after finishing the tour with just a single click on corner sidebar.

The A350-900 XWB is the second aircraft Ethiopian Airlines has put on Google Maps following the positive reception of their B777-200LR’s Street View tour. The airline also plans on adding their new B787-800 Dreamliner onto Google Street View in the coming weeks.
