Ethiopian Airlines presents its compliments and highest appreciation to its customers worldwide  and wishes to  clarify the real context of the short term Proclamation issued by the Ethiopian Government on October 8, 2016 to enable law enforcement Agencies consolidate the security conditions.

Some of our valued customers have asked us to explain to them on the possible impact of the short term proclamation on their travel plan to Ethiopia. Accordingly, Ethiopian Airlines would like to inform all its customers and the general travelling public that the purpose of the short term proclamation is to align and coordinate the various Federal security Agencies and Law enforcement Organizations with unity of command to enable them better secure the Regional States in light of the protests prevailed in some part of the country. It makes international and domestic travelers more safe and secured.

All Ethiopian Airlines domestic and international flights including those flights operated by other Airlines are safely and securely operating as per the schedule.

Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to see that its passenger traffic has grown by 20% in the first quarter of its fiscal year (July to September) as compared to the same period of the previous year.
