Ethiopian Airlines Group, the largest airline group in Africa, marked International Women’s Day with all women functioned flights to eight destinations, highlighting the airline’s 8 decades in service. Ethiopian celebrated the occasion and announced the launch of the flights at a grand event held on the evening of 07 March 2026 at Ethiopian Skylight Hotel, attended by government officials, the airline’s executives, women leaders, and women employees representing Ethiopian Airlines’ workforce and partner organizations.

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest network operating carrier in Africa, is delighted to announce its plan to inaugurate three new domestic airports and launch passenger flights to the destinations by mid-April 2026. The new airports are located in Negele Borena, Gore Metu, and Debre Markos.

This is to kindly request you to reach out your respective individual passengers and advise them to report for check-in before 03:00AM/15MAR20 local time. Please note missing this flight will leave them with no option to travel to destination JED. This is unexpected alert message received from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and we sincerely apologise for all inconvenience caused to our esteemed passengers
