Africa’s largest airline group, Ethiopian Airlines, is proud to announce that it has been presented the ‘Most Promising Airline’ award on the first-ever Arabian Travel Awards, held on July 4, 2017 at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai.

The maiden Arabian Travel Awards is presented by the Durga Das Publications to celebrate the hard work of the key stalwarts in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries in the Middle East. Towards this end, Ethiopian has been crowned the accolade recognized and applauded as one of the tourism tigers of the Middle East. The Awards were presented in four categories: Personal, Business, Trending and Partner Awards.

While receiving the award, Area Manager Gulf, Mr. Ali Mohammed, remarked; “We are pleased to receive this prestigious award, on behalf of the entire Ethiopian Airlines family; and I would like to thank the Arabian Travel Awards for this recognition. Ethiopian currently flies to and from 10 destinations in the Middle East and thrice daily from Dubai with the ultramodern aircraft; connecting travellers from the Middle East to over 54 and over 95 destinations in Africa and worldwide respectively.”  

The Arabian Travel Awards were handed over to the winners by Ms India, Dr Tanushree Pandey along with SanJeet, Mentor Arabian Travel Awards and Sumeera Bahl, Director Durga Das Publications.

Ethiopian is a multi-award winning airline and has recently been awarded as the ‘Best African Airline’ by the SKYTRAX World Airline Award. Dubai Airports has also recognized Ethiopian Airline staff as airline employee of the year award in May 2017.
