Ethiopian introduces Enugu with first ever cargo services August 24 , 2016

Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing and the sole A350 XWB Airbus operator in the continent, made historic landing yesterday introducing the Enugu State in Nigeria with its ever first cargo service.

Up on landing of the Ethiopian Boeing 757 cargo aircraft at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, enthusiastic crowd and other dignitaries applauded Ethiopia’s effort in boosting the State’s business.

Governor Ifeanyi said that the new service will enable people from the region to fly to all parts of the world and have their bulk cargo delivered saving costs, and enhancing convenience and safety in importation of goods.

Traffic and Sales Manager of Ethiopian, Mr. Biniam Addisu for his part appreciated the support from the Enugu State government.

Ethiopian has been serving Nigeria, Lagos since 1960, a little more than half a century and now flies to a total of 21 weekly flights to Lagos, Kanu, Abuja, and Enugu.

It is to be recalled that Ethiopian was the first carrier to make the first international flight to the State exactly three years earlier which the Governor appreciated the debut saying noteworthy.
