Ethiopian Aviation Academy (EAA), the largest academy in Africa has installed the Cessna 172S, the latest flight training simulator at its Pilot Training School (PTS).

The Cessna 172S is the latest technology simulator to train basic flight simulation to PTS cadets before they start actual flight training in the skies. The Cessna 172S has modern features; it is fitted with advanced training software which enables realistic scenario based training; its sound system provides accurate sounds for engine and other systems. The simulator consists of the replica of the Diamond and SKYHAWK Cessna 172S aircraft cockpit.

Following the installation of the new simulator, the Commercial Pilot Licensing (CPL) training syllabus has been updated and eased the conversion from the diamond aircraft.

The training simulators at PTS are certified by Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA). They also comply with regulations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the US, and all major aviation authorities worldwide.
